This year’s second quarter isn’t the first time the Youngstown metro area has ranked the most-affordable market in which to buy a house. The following rankings by the National Association of Home Builders go back to 2005:

2005 Q1

Most affordable: Youngstown-Warren- Boardman, OH-PA

Least affordable: Los Angeles-Long Beach- Glendale, CA

2007 Q1

Most affordable: Youngstown-Warren- Boardman, OH-PA & Indianapolis-Carmel, IN

Least affordable: Los Angeles-Long Beach- Glendale, CA

2008 Q3
