Warren woman charged with knocking neighbor out with flower pot

WARREN

A 30-year-old woman living on the seventh floor of The Elms apartment complex, 2300 Plaza Ave. NE, is charged with felonious assault — accused of throwing a flower pot off her balcony, knocking a 55-year-old neighbor unconscious.

Amber Chapman entered an innocent plea Monday in Warren Municipal Court. She was released from Trumbull County jail after posting $10,000 bond.

Police said surveillance video showed the incident, which

occurred at 1:30 a.m. July 18. The victim was helping his neighbor pick up his clothing, which his girlfriend had dropped from the balcony during an argument. The victim said he heard the woman call down to him, and seconds later she dropped the pot. The victim refused medical treatment that night. He did seek medical attention the next day, and doctors treated him for a concussion.
