Police probing missing money at Poland Swim Club

Township police are investigating a possible theft from Poland Swim Club on Clingan Road.

Police have received reports that $24,632 was taken from the club between June 27 and July 12, according to records. Police declined to comment further on the case.

The club is stakeholder-owned and is funded through annual memberships, costing $425 annually for families, and in return, members receive a stock certificate, said Paul Sherman, the club’s vice president in charge of pool and grounds.

Sherman referred all questions about the theft to police.
