Police investigate shooting on the East Side

YOUNGSTOWN

One man is recovering in St. Elizabeth Health Center and another man is in police custody following a shooting on the city’s East Side Tuesday night.

Police responded to the area of Forest and Himrod avenues just after 10 p.m. for the shooting of an unidentified man. The wounded man was reportedly trying to drive home.

Police have arrested 36-year-old Kenyatta Collins in connection with the shooting. He will likely be arraigned sometime today.
