Person fatally struck on Philly subway tracks

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Service is halted on Philadelphia’s Broad Street Line subway after a person was fatally struck by a train.

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority says someone was struck by a northbound train near the Lombard-South Station. Shuttle buses began moving riders between stations on either side of the scene around 5 a.m.

It was not immediately clear how the person ended up on the tracks.
