Pedestrian killed

BOARDMAN

The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate a two-vehicle crash that left a 33-year-old Austintown man dead.

The crash occurred about 11:30 p.m. Monday on Midlothian Boulevard just west of Lake Park Road.

The patrol said Barbara A. Pusser, 55, of Struthers was driving eastbound on Midlothian Boulevard when she hit pedestrian Robert D. Boak, of Austintown. Then, a Ford Taurus driven by Dennis J. Lehman, 58, of Boardman, hit Boak and stopped immediately after making contact. Boak was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Health Center, the patrol said. Neither driver was injured.

Ramp to reopen

YOUNGSTOWN

After a delay because of inclement weather, the following traffic patterns on Interstate 680 should be in place this morning:

I-680 northbound and southbound over Midlothian Boulevard will be reopened to three lanes in each direction, and the I-680 southbound exit ramp to Midlothian Boulevard south will reopen.

However, the southbound Midlothian Boulevard ramp to I-680 northbound will remain closed through next Wednesday. This work is part of a $4.5 million project to provide concrete overlays to six bridges on I-680 between U.S. Route 224 and South Avenue.

U.S. Route 62 between Mellinger Road and Raccoon Road in the township will be closed through Saturday for a culvert replacement. The detour will be U.S. Route 224 to state Route 625, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation District 4.
