Van hits, damages house in Campbell, driver runs

CAMPBELL

A van hit a house Tuesday morning on Sixth Street near Whipple Avenue then the driver fled, police reported.

Police said residents in the house reported hearing a loud bang around 10 a.m., but did not get out of bed. Near 11:30 a.m., a resident went outside to discover the house was damaged.

A neighbor reported seeing a dark blue van come through the intersection and hit the residence. The driver either jumped or fell out of the van, then got back in and drove away, police said.
