NASCAR's Dale Blaney, Feed the Children, presents food boxes to Warren Family Mission

WARREN — NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Dave Blaney is teaming with Feed The Children to deliver a truckload of food and essentials to Warren Family Mission on Wednesday.

The food and essentials will arrive at 9 a.m. at 2670 Youngstown Rd. SE. The food and essentials will be distributed at a later date.

This distribution is in recognition of Blaney’s top-10 finish in this year’s Prelude to the Dream race that took place at Eldora Speedway. Blaney chose Warren and Warren Family Mission as the recipient of food and essentials for 400 children and their families. This is one of 10 truckloads of food Feed The Children will send around the country on behalf of the top ten finishers in the Prelude to the Dream racing event.

Warren Family Mission has pre-identified families receiving the boxes. Each family will receive a 25-pound box of food and a 10-pound box of personal care items. The boxes are designed to help a family of four for up to one week.
