Ohio man wins Polish photo contest

Timothy Stoll, 32, a Cleveland-area photo hobbyist and Polish heritage enthusiast, was recently selected the grand prize winner of the Lufthansa Airlines’ photo contest and was awarded two round-trip tickets to Poland.

The Celebrate Polonia photo contest required participants to show how they cherish and celebrate their Polish heritage.

Stoll’s winning photo is an action shot taken with his Nikon D50 during the performance of the group Zespol Goralski Siumni (a Polish Highlander folk ensemble) in Chicago in April. The photo captures a male dancer midair performing fancy footwork of the southern Poland mountain dances.
