Dog-agility trials set this weekend in Niles

NILES — The American Kennel Club will host dog-agility trials from 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Mayor Ralph A. Infante Wellness Center, 213 Sharkey Road.

During the trials, dogs and their handlers will compete for qualifying runs on different courses. As the teams earn qualifying runs, they will move throughout the titles of novice, open, excellent, and advanced. The trials are open to the public, and there are no admission or parking fees. Only dogs entered in the trials will be allowed in the building.

The trials are sponsored by Youngstown All Breed Training Club, headquartered in North Jackson. The event has attracted more than 300 teams from throughout Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
