Authorities find body of missing W. Pa. boater
PORTERSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — The body of a New Kensington man who went missing while on a fishing trip at Moraine State Park has been found.
Park manager Dan Bickel says he found 42-year-old Matthew Parys on Monday evening in a 9-foot-deep section of Lake Arthur, about 50 yards away from a boat launching dock.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources says Parys was on a boating trip with three other people when he went missing on Sunday. Witnesses say he fell or jumped into Lake Arthur, located about 40 miles north of Pittsburgh and about 12 miles east of New Castle.
