Water line break in Salem

A water line break in the area of Southeast Boulevard between South Lincoln and Franklin avenues left a large portion that part of the city, including residences and businesses, without water this afternoon and evening.

The break was reported at about 2 p.m. and city crews were still working to repair the break at 9 p.m. The police log indicates that some 150 calls were received from people reporting loss of water pressure.
