Faber-Mergen rite planned for October 2013

Melanie Lauren Faber of McMurray, Pa., and Dane Paul Mergen of Indiana, Pa., are announcing their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of former Hubbard residents Greg and Debbie Faber of McMurray, Pa.

The prospective groom is the son of Derrick and Irene Mergen of Indiana, Pa.

The couple plan to be married Oct. 12, 2013.

Miss Faber earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and speech language pathology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is attending Edinboro University, working toward her master’s degree in speech language pathology.

Mr. Mergen received a bachelor’s degree in communication media from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and works as an instructional assistant for Indiana County Technology Center.
