Twins double up on ‘Twins Day’ awards

The float's theme was a recreation of a recent experience Dad had when the boys made a huge mess in their bathroom at home. The scene consisted of an actual toilet and sink vanity and comic book exclamations to make the bathroom colorful and expressive. The floats most memorable feature was a fountain shooting up water from the toilet.
Austintown residents Noah and Drew Jursa attended the annual Twins Days Festival on Aug. 4-5. This marked the third trip to Twinsburg for the Jursa boys, having attended their first Twins Days at just four months of age.
The 2012 festival theme was “Superheroes: Twin Power!” There were more than 2,000 sets of twins registered to participate. On Aug. 4, the Jursa boys participated in the “Double Take Parade” where they rode on a float entered by their parents, Jeffrey and Shannan Jursa.
The twins were dressed in theme for the event as Noah “Super Evil” and Drew “Super Bad” with the “Superpower to Destroy a Room in Seconds.” Their float was one of 76 registered floats in the parade this year.
The float’s theme was a re-creation of a recent experience Jeffrey had when the boys made a huge mess in their bathroom at home.
The scene consisted of an actual toilet and sink vanity and comic book exclamations to make the bathroom colorful and expressive. The float’s most memorable feature was a fountain shooting water from the toilet.
The parents and big brother, Evan, who also helped design and build the float, were ecstatic to find themselves the winners of this year’s “Parade Float” trophy for the event.
In addition to this award, the twins also received silver medals in the “Most Alike Males Ages 1-2” category.
