Officials find grenade in Pa. lake

MEADVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Bomb-disposal experts from several law enforcement agencies have been called to a western Pennsylvania lake to deal with a hand grenade.

Officials say the grenade, which appeared to be intact, was found this morning in Tamarack Lake after water levels were reduced because of dam safety issues, the Erie Times-News reports. The lake is about 95 miles north of Pittsburgh.

Members of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission are also removing fish from the lake because of the draw down.
