Members of the band “Hey Kid.” which includes Jack Savage, Joe Falleti and Leigh Jaffer, kept children on their feet and dancing during their concert at Skedaddles on July 27.

“The kids are mesmerized by them. I play the music here all the time. It’s a natural fit,” said Skedaddles owner Dini Ricchiuti.

Children clapped their hands, twirled around and shook their tambourines with their friends and family as they listened to the exciting tunes about tales of pet dinosaurs, listening to parents and remaining optimistic.

“Our songs have a really good message about not giving up on your dreams and also having a good time. Hopefully, we can inspire kids to do music. We have a lot of cute songs and all kinds of fun things to keep them moving,” Jaffer said.

Parents were also thrilled to participate with their children. Leslie Crook, of Poland, and her son, Jacob, couldn’t wait to see the concert.

“We’re really excited. We’ve seen this band before and we love it,” Crook said.

There was also an opportunity for children to take advantage of the indoor playground, which was also important to band members.

“We like to do things where we’re combining our talents with other activities for kids, It’s great. It’s an amazing feeling to have fun. Kids really have fun — especially the girls. We all love kids and we’re all big kids ourselves,” Savage said.
