Family, friends help Denmeades celebrate 50th

Ray and Judy Denmeade of Poland celebrated the 50th anniversary of their wedding at a party May 26 for family and friends at Drake’s Landing, Canfield.

The event was hosted by the couple’s three sons and their wives, Sam and Nancy of Ellicott City, Md.; Tim and Angie of Fort Mill, S.C.; and Tom and Marni of New Middletown. Also hosting were the couple’s grandchildren: Julia, Kate, Luke, Emily, Eliza, Olivia, Sophia and Lucia. One grandchild, Claudia, is deceased.

A family trip also is being planned to the Outer Banks of North Carolina this summer.

Mr. Denmeade and the former Judy Cervello were married April 28, 1962, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown.

Mr. Denmeade retired in 1986 from LTV Steel, and Mrs. Denmeade retired in 2001 from Struthers Schools.

The couple are active members of Struthers Presbyterian Church.
