AUXILIARIES
St. Anthony’s Auxiliary of Struthers will have its annual picnic at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Masters Pavilion in Boardman Park. Telephone committee members will call for reservations. Members are asked to take a covered dish. President Arlene DeChellis will update the calendar for the remainder of the year, and the September meeting location will be announced.
CLUBS
Chapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet for a progressive luncheon and tour of two bed-and-breakfast homes. A salad lunch and tour will begin at noon at Barb Hall’s home. Afterward dessert, a meeting and tour will take place at the home of Becky Murray. Anyone needing a ride should meet at Canfield Presbyterian Church parking lot at 11:45 a.m. to carpool.

Mahoning Valley Retreads Motorcycle Club will have its monthly meeting Saturday at Denny’s, 4027 Mahoning Ave., Austintown. Breakfast will be at 10 a.m., and the meeting will follow. Memberships are welcome for those over 40 who love motorcycles. Memberships are $15 for individuals and $20 for couples.
Round Table Woodcarvers will meet from 9 to 11:45 a.m. Thursday at the Senior Independence Senior Center, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. Wood and the use of tools will be provided, and carving lessons are free. There also will be a show-and-tell carving event. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Visitors are welcome. Holborn Herb Growers Guild will meet at 6 p.m. Aug. 21 in the Western Reserve Village at the Canfield Fairgrounds for their summer cleanup to prepare the gardens for the Canfield Fair. Hostesses will be Yvonne Ford, Laura Bailey, Sue Petrollini, Joyce Rettenmier and Theresa Lyden.

Canfield Republican Women are planning a gathering Aug. 17 to mingle and invite potential new members to the club. The event will take place at Mastropietro Winery, 14558 Ellsworth Road, Berlin Center. Everyone can order and pay for their own beverages and food. Food is served from 6 to 8:30 p.m., and the winery closes at 11.
