Canfield dance team stars at national event

Dancers from Stage Left Theater Arts Academy in Canfield recently returned from a week-long stay at the VIP National Dance Competition in Sandusky. The competition included more than 900 routines from studios in various states.

The girls’ group routines in musical theater and hip hop took the top two spots, winning first and second overall in the small group division. In addition, these routines were asked to compete again later in the week because they scored in the top 15 highest group routines of the entire competition.

“It was a real honor to be part of the final night’s Best of the Best competition,” said director Kimberly Lisowski. “The girls worked all year to get to that point, and it paid off.”
