Atty. Roberts named to State Bar panel
Attorney James ‘Ted’ Roberts of the Youngstown law firm, RothBlair, has been appointed by the Ohio State Bar Association’s (OSBA) Board of Governors to a seat on the organization’s Commission on Judicial Candidates. Representing OSBA District 13, Attorney Roberts joins lawyers from the state’s seventeen other districts and six at-large members on the commission. A resident of Poland, Ohio, Attorney Roberts has been active with the OSBA for a number of years prior to this appointment, including service on the Board of Governors and Chair of the Independent Judiciary Committee.
Lucy Burtner named Shepherd of the Valley Employee of the Month
Lucy Burtner, a housekeeper and volunteer at the Shepherd of the Valley community in Poland was named employee of the month for July. She is appreciated for her generosity, kindness and willingness to become involved in the life of the community by staff and residents alike, going above and beyond what is called for in her job. In addition to her job duties, Lucy and her pug Sheba, a certified therapy dog, volunteer at the Shepherd community. They participate in parades and parties, pass out treats and visit with the residents. Lucy has been employed at the SOV community since Jan. 1998.
