Pa. woman fatally struck by police SUV

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Officials say a female pedestrian is dead after being struck by a Harrisburg police SUV.

Authorities say 36-year-old Shulena Weldon was hit today near 8:20 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating because the crash involved local police.

Investigators didn’t immediately say if the officer driving the SUV was on-duty or responding to a call.
