Michelle Sergi wins Miss Italian Youngstown crown

Michelle Sergi, 20, of Lowellville, center, won the title of Miss Italian Youngstown at the Greater Youngstown Italian Fest, which took place Aug. 3 through 5 downtown. The contest honored young women who are proud of their Italian heritage. Sergi is a medical student at Akron University. At left is second runner-up Joellin Chance, 18, of Youngstown, and at right is first runner-up Jenna Alexandra DePizzo, 20, of Cortland. Chance is a member of the National Honor Society and plans to study nursing at Walsh University. DePizzo is an honor student at Slippery Rock University.
