LOUIE TODAY: Radiation oncologist, abused Youngstown dog, muni court judgeship


Louie, Vindy.com's news radio partner, will interview Russell Scott Anderson, a radiation oncologist who serves as the medical director of Anderson Cancer Center in Meridian, Miss. He is a former Navy diver who worked in operations in the Middle East, Central America, and in support of the Navy’s explosive ordnance disposal community and SEALS, the Army’s Green Berets, the Secret Service, and the New York Police Department at various times during his service.

The father of seven has written the family-oriented literary columns Una Voce and The Uncommon Thread in the Journal of the Mississippi State Medical Association. He also is a screenwriter for several feature film.s

Louie alsowill talk with Jamie from Angels for Animals regarding their angelic work in healing  theformerly abused and neglected dog pictured on Vindy.com and on Angels for Animals' Facebook page.

The dog was being tormented in south Youngstown.

Then Covelli Centre's staff wil provide an update on this weekend's concert with blues singer George Thorogood and upcoming concert with Bob Dylan.

And Youngstown Clerk of Courts Sarah Brown-Clark will address the issues regarding state Rep. Robert F. Hagan's decision to postpone introducing a bill to eliminate a Youngstown Municipal Court judicial seat.

Louie also plans to call  Joe Graedon on air to wish him a happy birthday. Graedon and his wife, Terry Graedon, write The People's Pharmacy column which appears in The Vindicator.
