Police: Pa. man drunk in crash that killed his brother
NORTH BEAVER, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania State Police charged a 19-year-old western Pennsylvania man with drunken driving and vehicular homicide in the June pickup truck crash that killed his 22-year-old brother.
Troopers from the New Castle barracks filed the charges Friday against Ryan O’Hara, of South Beaver Township, who is recovering from critical injuries he suffered in the June 24 crash.
Police say O’Hara lost control of his truck and hit a pole along Route 168 in North Beaver, Lawrence County, about 10:20 a.m.
Neither brother was wearing a seat belt when the driver’s brother, 22-year-old Sean O’Hara, was ejected from the 1994 Ford Ranger and killed.
Police say Ryan O’Hara’s blood-alcohol content was more than three times the state’s legal limit.
