Free tour of Idora neighborhood Saturday

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society, Mill Creek MetroParks, Idora Neighborhood Association and Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. are hosting a free public tour of the Idora neighborhood at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Guests will meet at the Youngstown Playhouse parking lot.

WRTA will provide buses for the two-hour excursion that will include stops at the Iron Roots Urban Farm, a walking tour of historic Volney Road and Ottawa Drive, Ford Nature Center and other unique sites.

The historical society will provide insight into the neighborhood’s and MetroParks’ significant history.

The INA and YNDC will provide an update on the ongoing revitalization efforts in the neighborhood.
