Country Crafts and Flea Market opens

Country Crafts and Flea Market, a new retail store at 22180 Harrisburg-Westville Road, opened Monday. The store specializes in homemade goods such as furniture, birdhouses and other decorative items.

A flea market with a variety of vendors will be open from Tuesday to Saturday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the area outside the store. Store hours will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday. Interested vendors should call the store’s owner Tim Bishop at 330-823-5755. Space is available for $10 per day. Bishop said he’d like to see more food and vegetable vendors attend.

Country Crafts and Flea Market is expected to have the greatest amount of flea- market vendors Thursday, Bishop said.

Fake Fest at the Lube

Quaker Steak and Lube will have its first Fake Fest on Aug. 18 at 5800 Interstate Blvd.

The Fake Fest is a daylong event full of area tribute bands. Entertainment is scheduled from open to close, and the event is free.

AC/DC tribute band Night Prowler and Beatles tribute band Abbey Road will be among the performers. A variety of vendors will also be on hand, including those with carnival games and others selling jewelry and food, among other items.
