Ajax Magnethermic Retirees will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Station Square, 4250 Belmont Ave., Youngstown. Guests are welcome.
Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1950 will have a picnic at noon Wednesday at the home of Joyce (Famor) Ohlin.
Canfield AARP Chapter 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at the Canfield Presbyterian Church, 140 W. Main St. There will be a covered dish picnic with members reminded to take their own table service. Members whose last name begins with A through H are asked to take salad, and I through Z, take casseroles. There will be blood pressure screening available from noon to 12:45 p.m. There will not be a speaker for this meeting. An overnight trip is planned for Aug. 15 and 16 to tour the Air Force Museum in Dayton and to visit the Creation Museum in Cincinnati; call 330-332-4791 for reservations. Other trips planned are: Sept. 18, mystery trip, call 330-533-4413 for reservations; and Oct. 4-8, New York to see the Idora Park Carousel, then to Vermont to see the Norman Rockwell Museum and Lincoln family home, call 330-337-4413 for reservations. There will be information at this month’s meeting on November and December bus trips. Nonmembers are welcome to attend meetings and bus trips.
Golden Pillars will meet for a liturgy at 11 a.m. Tuesday prior to a monthly meeting at noon at St. Mary Assumption Social Center, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Mary Novak will preside, birthdays and anniversaries will be observed, and cards and bingo will be played. Members are asked to take their own table service for lunch.
Local 2243 USWA Copperweld Steel Co. (S.O.A.R. Chapter 1-28-10) Retirees will have a family picnic at 1 p.m. Aug. 16 at Moose Lodge 186, 674 Main St. SW, Warren. Those attending are asked to take a covered dish.
Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Douglas Martin will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. SOAR 27-2 and 27-6 Steelworkers Local Unions 1330 and 1331 Retirees will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Niles-Canfield Road, Canfield. Refreshments will be served. New members are welcome. There will be no meeting in September.
St. Joseph Goldenagers will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Lyons Hall. Evelyn Minaldi will preside, and Carol McClain will give the thought of the day. Reports will be given and accepted. Cards will be played, birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged, and there will be a 50-50 raffle. Get-well cards will be sent to members who are ill. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; refreshments will be served. Membership is open.

Youngstown State University Retirees monthly breakfast will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Denny’s Restaurant, Route 224, Boardman. All retirees and their friends are welcome.
