AUSTINTOWN
U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson, R-6th, of Marietta plans two public events Monday in the Mahoning Valley:
10:30 to 11:30 am: Johnson will host a “Sit Down with Seniors” discussion in Austintown on guaranteeing the promise of Medicare and Social Security to current and future generations. After brief opening remarks, Johnson will encourage those in attendance to ask questions and join the discussion. Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, Austintown, OH.
3:30 to 4:30 pm: Johnson and State Rep. Craig Newbold will tour andmeet with employees at NewTec, a Salem-based company. NewTec recently introduced a new chemical-free shopping cart sanitizer – the first of its kind in the country - that is getting a test run at a local grocery store. Johnson and Newbold will also be traveling to the company’s fabrication plant in Sebring to get a firsthand look at their operations. NewTec Corp.is at 1052 W. State St., Salem
