City church takes orders for Smart Choice food boxes

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., is accepting orders for Smart Choice Food from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Smart Choice boxes, priced from $20 to $36, will include meat, vegetables, convenience meals, a breakfast box and children’s meals. There are no income restrictions or guidelines.

Pre-order and prepay with cash, money orders, or Ohio Direction Card. Mail orders will be accepted until Friday, payable by postal, bank money orders, or certified check made out to New Hope United Methodist Church.

To receive a receipt, enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope. Online ordering at smartchoicefood.com closes at 6 p.m. Aug. 13, and a 3 percent handling charge with be added to all online orders.

The distribution date will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Aug. 25. A community breakfast also will be served from 9 to 11 a.m. that day. For information, call 330-652-4616.
