Youngstown police seeking female in shooting of boyfriend

YOUNGSTOWN

Police are looking for a city woman who reportedly fired a shot at her boyfriend during an argument with the 61-year-old man.

Police reports say the couple were arguing inside the man’s Stiles Avenue home Thursday because the man refused to go to the hospital and visit the woman’s mother. During the argument the woman reportedly picked up a handgun from a night stand and fired a shot in the man’s direction.

Police noted a bullet hole in the door where the man was standing.

The woman was gone by the time police arrived at the home, but the man said she has a key and could return.

Police confiscated two firearms and ammunition from the house for safe keeping.
