Michelle Nelson of Youngstown became the bride of Michael Fawcett of Youngstown during a ceremony May 19 at St. Edward Church.

Monsignor Robert Siffrin officiated at the 6 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Margaret Nelson of Morgantown, Ind., and the late Richard Nelson and the son of Michael and Mary Edith Fawcett of Youngstown.

The newlyweds received guests during a reception at Butler Institute of American Art Trumbull Branch in Howland.

After a summer honeymoon to New England, they live in Youngstown.

The bride’s ivory strapless gown was fashioned with an asymmetrical drape and detailed with pearl embellishments.

Mrs. Fawcett earned a bachelor’s degree at Heron Art Institute and a master’s degree at Indiana University. She is an associate professor of graphic design at Youngstown State University.

Mr. Fawcett graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is self-employed in Internet marketing.

Janiel Kramer was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristen Rock and Elizabeth Fawcett, sisters of the groom, and Stephanie Herman. They wore navy dresses.

Dr. Jason Rock, the groom’s brother-in-law, served as best man. Groomsmen were Patrick Christopher, Christopher Bruchs, Gregory Christopher and Daniel Christopher, cousins of the groom.

Ring bearers were Alex Kramer and John Rock, nephews of the couple.
