Shannon Johnson to wed Joel Moss in Aug. 11 rite

The engagement of Shannon Johnson of Arlington, Va., and Joel Moss of Washington, D.C., is being announced by her parents, Robert and Linda Johnson of North Port, Fla. All are former Boardman residents.

Mr. Moss is the son of Susan Lawton of Swansea, Mass., and the late William Moss.

Miss Johnson graduated from Miami University with a degree in management information systems. She is a contractor for the federal government in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Moss graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a bachelor’s degree, from the Naval War College with a master’s degree and from Johns Hopkins University with a master’s degree in business administration. He is a director of market development for NJVC in McClean, Va. Moss was a U.S. Navy pilot.

Invitations will be extended for the couple’s wedding ceremony and reception Aug. 11 at the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota, Fla.
