Police ID resident, suspects shot in Pa. drug invasion
PORT VUE, Pa. (AP) — Allegheny County homicide detectives have identified a Pittsburgh-area homeowner who was wounded and now faces marijuana charges after he traded gunfire with two intruders who were also shot — one fatally.
Police say 18-year-old George Langley was killed when he and 24-year-old Taron Patterson robbed the house in Port Vue about 11:30 p.m. Thursday. Police say both were from McKeesport.
The homeowner, 62-year-old John Zyskowski, was grazed in the head when he exchanged gunfire with one of the suspected robbers.
Zyskowski was arraigned on marijuana-growing charges today, but is not charged with shooting the suspected robbers. Patterson remained in a hospital, but will be charged with robbery once he’s released.
