New needle point store has ribbon-cutting

The Regional Chamber and owner Julia Kerner met at 10 a.m. on July 27 for a ceremonial ribbon cutting for With Needle in Hand, 7330 Southern Blvd., Suite 5, Boardman. The business stocks supplies for many types of hand embroidery and needlepoint. The shop offers cross stitch and embroidery fabrics, wools for crewel and needlepoint, silk and cotton threads as well as charts, books, magazines and kits for beginner or experienced stitchers. Historic reproduction samplers are a specific focus.

With Needle in Hand will offer classes in a variety of needlework styles starting in September.

Grand opening and ribbon cutting for Menchie’s

The Regional Chamber and director of communications Lisa Schwan met on July 28 for a ceremonial ribbon cutting for Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, 813 Boardman-Poland Road, Boardman.

Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt celebrated its grand opening in the Presidential Square shopping center on July 28-29. Grand opening festivities included free gift bags to the first 20 customers, hourly raffles to win Menchie’s gift cards, free balloon animals and color-in T-shirts, and photos with Menchie.

Menchie’s features a mix of yogurt and toppings at a self-serve store with more than 100 rotating yogurt flavors from cake batter to vanilla snow, and more than 70 rotating toppings, including fresh fruit, candies, and hot fudges.

Ribbon cutting held for Legacy Visiting Health Services

The Regional Chamber and regional director Michael Brubaker, met at 10:30 a.m. on July 27 for a ceremonial ribbon cutting for Legacy Visiting Health Services, 7330 Southern Blvd. Suite 7, Boardman.

Legacy Visiting Health Services is a newly-established home healthcare agency that offers both skilled and unskilled care for extended-hour and short-term visit cases.

Legacy has partnered with many different nursing programs and services, as well as, insurance companies to offer quality care in the comfort of a client’s home.

Youngstown Lions Club nominates VP

Lion Nancy Cuffle was nominated as the first Vice President of the Youngstown Lions Club. She has been a member of the Lions Club since 2007. Cuffle is a board member, as well as the public relations chairman, for the Lions.
