ASSOCIATIONS

Tri-Gold Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will have its next meeting Wednesday at Manor Restaurant, 3104 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Canfield. CLASSES

Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1948 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s, Route 224 in Boardman. All classmates and spouses are invited.

Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1955 will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at What’s Cookin’ at Mathews Road Plaza, Boardman, for its monthly breakfast. Class members, spouses and guests are welcome.

Woodrow Wilson High School January and June Classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman. Members of the 1946 and 1948 classes are welcome.

CLUBS

Mahoning Valley Stamp Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Highway Tabernacle, 3000 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown. The club meets the second Thursday of each month.

POLITICAL CLUBS

Trumbull County Federated Democratic Women’s Club will have its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at Perkins Park in Warren. Members are asked to take a covered dish or dessert for a picnic dinner. Trumbull County elected officials have been invited to attend, and visitors are welcome.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the K. of C. Hall, 122 S. State St.

McDonald Knights of Columbus will meet at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the K. of C. Hall, Illinois Avenue.

St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the parish house.

Warren Women’s Connection will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 13 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren, for a “Tastefully Simple” luncheon. Judi Setrone will discuss shortcuts to tasty meals, music will be by vocalist Donna Hewitt, and inspirational speaker Judy Inman will present “Who’s Got the Controller?” A free nursery is available by reservation. Girard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Golf Dome, 1300 N. State St., Girard.

Springfield Township Optimist Club’s monthly meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 22 at the home of Ginger and Rob McAndrew, 5229 E. South Range Road, New Middletown. The topic will be rebuilding the current club and adding new members since July 7, 1977. Anyone interested in joining or interested in more information about the club is welcome to attend. Trumbull County Farm Bureau Inc. will have its annual meeting Aug. 16 at Vernon’s Cafe, Niles, starting with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30. Cost is $14 each. Highlights for the evening will include recognition of county programs, election of county board of trustees and delegates to the Ohio Farm Bureau annual meeting, setting county policies for 2012-2013 and recognition of the 2012 scholarship recipients.

D.A.R.E. Singles Group, a social group for divorced, widowed and separated people, meets at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road. Nar-Anon, a worldwide fellowship for those affected by someone else’s addiction, meets at 7 p.m. every Wednesday at the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, 5211 Mahoning Ave., Suite 3000, Austintown. The 12-step program offers help by sharing experience, strength and hope. Newcomers are welcome at 6:45.

Parkinson’s Support Group’s regular meeting will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Park Vista North Lounge, 1310 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. The topic will be “Occupational Therapy and Adaptive Equipment in Parkinson’s Disease.” The group is for those who suffer from or are caretakers to those who have Parkinson’s disease. Youngstown PFLAG, St. John’s Episcopal Church and the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Youngstown are sponsoring a program by Marc Adams at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John’s, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown. Use the entrance to the parish house at the back of the church. Adams is the author of nine books, a respected authority on the subjects of fundamentalism, the religious right and gay civil rights, and the founder of the nonprofit organization HeartStrong, a social justice organization providing hope and help to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students who are persecuted in religious educational institutions. His newest book, “It’s Not About You: Understanding Coming Out & Self Acceptance,” deals with the issue of disclosure reaction.

VETERANS
