Children to host open celebration for McCowins

Kenneth and Georgia McCowin of Vienna will mark the 50th anniversary of their marriage in an open celebration hosted by their children from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Bible Baptist Temple, 230 Lettie Ave., Campbell.

Mrs. McCowin, who is the former Georgia Eldridge, and Mr. McCowin were married on that date in 1962 in Roswell, N.M.

The McCowin children are Gennifer (David) Bahn, Keith (Arlene) McCowin and Gina (Richard) Holloway, all of Liberty, and Kenneth McCowin of Boardman. The family includes 10 grandchildren.

Mrs. McCowin is a homemaker.

Mr. McCowin retired in 2002 as a metal roller for Cold Metal Products in Youngstown, and in 2011 as a bus driver for Campbell City Schools. He is a member of Bible Baptist Temple.
