Run with the Rockets

The Lowellville volleyball team will be hosting Run with the Rockets, a 5K run and 1-mile fun walk in Lowellville on Aug. 18. For more information, visit www.runwiththerockets.yolasite.com.

Mooney football to play St. Ignatius

Defending state champion Cardinal Mooney will open its 2012 football season with a showdown against defending Division I state champion Cleveland St. Ignatius Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. at Cleveland Browns Stadium. The game is part of a doubleheader slated as the 44th Charity Game sponsored by the Cleveland Browns’ Foundation.

St. Ignatius and Cardinal Mooney have won 19 Ohio state championships between them. Tickets for the match-up are $10 in advance and $12 on game day and are available through the school treasurer’s office. One ticket will be good for both games. The first game of the day will feature North Royalton and Broadview Heights at 2 p.m.

BB Baseball to host camp

BB Baseball will be conducting an instructional camp on Sunday at the Westminster College baseball field in Wilmington, Pa. The camp instructors will be Westminster head baseball coach Tim Mulligan and professional baseball scout and head coach at Carnegie Mellon University, Claudio Reilsono. The camp will cover all aspects of the game and will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 1 p.m.
