Home Energy Assistance program runs through Aug. 31

The Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership (MYCAP) Home Energy Assistance/Summer Crisis program continues through Aug. 31.

Appointments for benefits can be scheduled by calling 1-866-223-1125.

A disconnection notice is not required to be eligible.

A limited number of air conditioners are available.

Income eligible applicants can receive a one-time electric assistance payment of up to $250 and/or an air conditioner if household members would benefit medically by an air conditioner, and must not have received an air conditioner in 2009, 2010 or 2011.
