Pa. man sentenced for kidnapping judge's daughter
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A man who kidnapped a Pennsylvania judge’s daughter last year has been ordered to spend up to 12 years in prison.
Michael Antonio Arce Jr., 28, was ordered today to spend at least five years behind bars for the gunpoint abduction of Lehigh County Judge Lawrence Brenner’s adult daughter Sarah Brenner.
Arce told the court he was drunk when he forced Brenner into his car on Nov. 23 in Bethlehem. Investigators say he threatened to kill Brenner as she tried to escape.
Brenner was able to get away when Arce’s wife unexpectedly pulled up and asked what was going on.
Arce pleaded guilty in June to kidnapping. He apologized during his sentencing but couldn’t explain his motive.
Arce says he didn’t know who Brenner was.
