Police have arrested a suspect in the Friday slaying of a man on Youngstown’s West Side.

The 17-year-old male is at the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center, said police Chief Rod Foley.

Michael Abighanem, 27, of Thalia Street was shot after he and a friend went to a house on Silliman Street around 4:30 p.m. so Abighanem could sell a video game system and a laptop computer.

The suspect is charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated murder. Police expect to release his name Monday, Foley said.

The West Side victim represents the 10th homicide victim of 2012 in Youngstown.
