Turn in your old, unused drugs

The ASAP Coalition will have “Operation: Empty Medicine Cabinet” 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 9 at the Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District, 5138 Enterprise Drive, off Parkman Road, near the Route 5 Bypass.

Officers from the Trumbull Ashtabula Law Enforcement Task Force will collect and destroy prescription drugs.

The officers will accept unused or expired drugs in original containers.

This is the fifth drug-recovery event by the ASAP Coalition.

It helps limit the misuse of drugs by children and teens who often get drugs from their family’s medicine cabinets.
