Recycle electronics, drugs today at Covelli


YOUNGSTOWN

An electronics recycling drive and a pharmaceutical- disposal drive will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.

The electronics drive will be at the Covelli Centre, 229 E. Front St., where old and broken TV sets, computers, monitors, printers, cell phones, DVD and VCR units, keyboards, mice, stereos, table top copiers and personal fax machines will be accepted.

There will be no charge for recycling any of these items.

Floor-model copiers and fax machines will not be accepted in this drive, which is sponsored by Youngstown Litter Control and Recycling.

The other drive is the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s pharmaceutical take-back initiative. Mahoning County residents may drop off expired or unneeded medications at St. Elizabeth Health Center, 1044 Belmont Ave., or at the Austintown, Boardman, Canfield, New Middletown or Beaver Township police departments. Syringes and needles will not be accepted.
