World Vision plans charity dinner May 5

HERMITAGE, PA.

World Vision is sponsoring a Saving Lives Charity Dinner from 7 to 10 p.m. May 5 at Avalon Country Club at Buhl Park, 1030 Forker Blvd.

The event will feature a buffet dinner, cash bar, disc jockey, silent auction, basket raffle and a 50-50 raffle. Admission is $30 per person, and tickets will be sold in advance only. The deadline to buy tickets is Saturday.

Among the items to be auctioned are a GPS, video camera, celebrity-autographed items, flying lessons and more.
