Massillon Perry 2

BOARDMAN

The four-hitter thrown by Boardman senior Troy Parks (5-0) included seven strikeouts. Sophomore Eddie Crump went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, senior Nate Knaus had a triple and senior Dan Popio had a triple and RBI for the Spartans (12-3, Federal 6-0). Nathan Dottavio had a double and RBI for the Perry Panthers.

Crestview 4,

East Palestine 0

EAST PALESTINE

Over seven innings, Matt May allowed just one walk and he registered 14 strikeouts in a no-hitter or Crestview. Anthony Marnejon and Austin Eskra both had two hits and an RBI and Brandon Jayne and Zach Thompson doubled for the Rebels (10-4, 8-3 ITCL). Eskra’s hit was also a double. Also over seven innings, East Palestine’s Justin Fristik struck out five and didn’t allow a walk, but gave up eight hits.

Columbiana 10, United 4

HANOVERTON

Steve Slater had three hits, including a double, and drove in two runs for Columbiana (6-11, 6-4 ITCL Tier One), which led 7-0 entering the bottom of the third inning. Richie Fitch (1-2) tossed a three-hitter, striking out six without giving up an earned run. Bryce Franken and Nathan Garafalo each added two hits and two RBIs. United is 5-14, 3-8.

Fitch 9, West Branch 4

BELOIT

Zarek Bell knocked in two runs with three hits, included a double, and Logan Kane had a double and single and one RBI for the Falcons (10-7), who had a seven-run third inning.

For West Branch (10-7), Matt Unkefer had two hits.

Howland 9, Canfield 8

CANFIELD

Kyle Hickman had a two-run home run and a double and two RBIs for Howland.

Of Canfield’s 11 hits, Anthony Ross had three singles, Colton Crissman had three singles and two RBIs and Joe Tuchek had two singles and an RBI. The Cardinals (10-3, 5-1 AAC) also committed four errors and walked eight batters.

Springfield 9,

Mineral Ridge 6

NEW MIDDLETOWN

With help from Springfield’s offense, Dalton Donachie pitched six innings in relief for the win for the Tigers (15-3, 11-1 ITCL). Donachie registered seven strikeouts. Ryan Kohler, Hunter Snyder, Mike Buchenic and Joe Ohlin had two hits apiece and Ohlin accounted for two RBIs for the winners. Dan Ferguson and Michael White had two hits apiece while White and Zack Tasker doubled for Mineral Ridge (8-11, 5-7). White also had two RBIs to his credit.

Wellsville 0

WELLSVILLE

Thomas Benyo doubled, scored twice and drove in two runs and Parker Clegg pitched a three-hitter to get the win. Jordan White had two hits and an RBI for the Blue Devils (11-5, 8-2 ITCL Tier One).

Holy Name 0

WARREN

A Marco Macali suicide squeeze scored Brendan Cox and a Mike Ledenko sacrifice fly brought in James Coates for the JFK win. Cox hit a double and struck out seven batters on the mound for the Eagles (13-1).

McDonald 13,

Jackson-Milton 9

MCDONALD

Cameron Ifft hit a grand slam in the sixth inning and Michael Raschilla added a double for McDonald (14-4, 8-2 ITCL). Michael Schuller pitched in relief of Ifft and struck out three for the win. Austin Bucan collected three RBIs and the Blue Devils scored seven runs in the fourth inning. Nate Clark and Ryan Nagy both homered for Jackson-Milton, while Chucky Anderson hit two doubles.

Ursuline 5, Poland 2

POLAND

Sam Donko pitched a four-hitter with 14 strikeouts and drove in two runs to lead Ursuline (10-3). Harry Finelli and Mike Montalbano each had two hits for the Irish, and Colin Reardon doubled and drove in a run for Poland.

PARMA HEIGHTS

Brendan Cox tossed a three-hit shutout with nine strikeouts and two walks for JFK, which scored both runs in the top of the sixth. Cox also had two hits, including a double, and scored a run. James Coates scored the other run, while Marco Macali had two hits and an RBI.

Heartland Christian 16, Southern 6

COLUMBIANA

Freshman Phil Bell pitched a one-hitter with seven strikeouts to lead Heartland (4-10). Brandon Crawford doubled and drove in two runs, Kyle Burgess had four RBIs and Daniel Bancroft had two hits and two RBIs.

Louisville 4, Salem 3

LOUISVILLE

Mike Kelly hit a one-out RBI single to score Connor Ruffier in the bottom of the seventh for the game-winner for the Leopards (11-5, 7-2 Northeastern Buckeye Conference). Brendan Webb hit a two-out RBI single in the top of the seventh, scoring Jon Fortney with the game-tying run for the Quakers (1-16, 0-9).

LATE MONDAY

Western Reserve 17,

Wellsville 0

BERLIN CENTER

Nick Allison threw a no-hitter, striking out 11 batters on the mound for Western Reserve. Tommy Marlowe had three hits, scored three runs, and drove in three RBIs, while Parker Warren belted a home run. Jordan White tallied three RBIs. The Blue Devils tallied 12 hits and scored six and runs in the third and fourth innings, respectively.

Bristol 5, Southington 4

BRISTOLVILLE

Bristol scored the lead and winning run in the bottom of the fifth with one out when Kevin Chirozzi scored on a suicide squeeze bunt by Zach Tomasiak. Austin Rimer pitched three innings of relief and struck out seven batters.
