WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a baked chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Meal includes salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be available for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m.: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; or shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Each meal is $8 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and free for those 3 and under. A fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw is $5.50. For carryouts call 330-654-5630. Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 Friday at 330-746-9528, and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday; walk-in orders will be available.

SATURDAY

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, will have a Swiss steak dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door at a cost of $9 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts will be available. For information call the church office at 330-758-5745.

Braceville United Methodist Church, 577 Park St. NW, Braceville, will serve stuffed pork chop dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Dinners include mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw, applesauce, homemade desserts, bread, and coffee, tea or punch. North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will offer a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. at the church. Donations will be accepted for the all-you-can eat buffet, which will include eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and onions, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. SUNDAY

Boy Scout Troop 184 at St. Joseph Church will sponsor a pasta dinner from noon to 4 p.m. at Lucianno’s, 1739 S. Raccoon Road, in the Wedgewood Plaza, Austintown. Tickets cost $9 for adults and $4.50 for children 10 and under. There will be a basket raffle and 50-50 raffle. Proceeds will help boys attend summer camp and will be used to run the troop.

Christ, the Good Shepherd at St. Lucy Church, 394 Tenney Ave., Campbell, will serve handmade spaghetti dinners from noon to 4 p.m. in the Palermo Banquet Center. Takeouts will be available in the basement until 3:30 p.m. Take your own container, or purchase one for 50 cents. Dinners cost $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

Junior Ukrainian Orthodox League will have a chicken dinner and bake sale from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Dinners cost $8 for adults and $4 for children and include a quarter baked chicken, two sides, roll and butter and a beverage. Knights of Columbus Council 3930 will sponsor a benefit spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. Dinner includes meatballs, salad, bread and butter, dessert and beverage. Cost is $6.50 for adults, $3.50 for children 6 to 9 and free for kids under 6. All proceeds will go to the family of Samantha Skowron, an eighth-grader at Austintown Middle School. She is undergoing chemotherapy treatments for Hodgkins lymphoma. There will be a basket auction and a 50-50 raffle.

TAKING ORDERS

Lydia Circle of Girard First United Methodist Church is taking orders for individual-serving ham loaves for $2 each. Pickup will be from 1 to 4 p.m. May 14 at the fellowship hall, 22 N. Market St. To order call 330-545-4361. All orders must be in by May 8.

Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for stuffed cabbage at $13 per dozen. Orders may be placed through May 4 at 330-792-5124, and advance orders are advised. Pickup will be from 1 to 3 p.m. May 11 and May 12 at the clubhouse. Take your own container to save $1.25 for each container provided by the club.

Bessemer Presbyterian Church, 29 N. Main St., Bessemer, Pa., is planning a ham loaf dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. May 19. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling the church office at 724-667-7255. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 6-12. Those 5 and under may eat free. Some tickets will be sold at the door. Takeouts will be available.

Southington United Methodist Church, 4348 Smith Nelson Road, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. May 2. The meal consists of a quarter chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw and homemade desserts. St. Nicholas Church will serve a cavatelli dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. May 5 in the Great Hall, 764 Fifth St., Struthers. The cost for dine-in or carryout is $7 for adults, $5 for children 6-12 and free for those 5 and under. Meals include homemade meatballs, salad, bread and butter, dessert and a beverage. There also will be a 50-50 raffle and a raffle for a 46-inch LED TV. Advance raffle tickets for the TV are available at the church office for $5 each.
