WARREN

Police apprehended three juvenile males after observing them lighting a small pile of leaves on fire in back of a vacant house on Olive Street Northeast at 5:51 p.m. Friday.

As the officer walked up to the boys, the boys ran away, but officers located them a block away, wrote down their personal information and gave it to the Warren Fire Department, which put out the fire.

When firefighters arrived, the fire had grown to an area of about 36 square feet, police said. The fire was burning up against a masonry wall of the house but didn’t damage the house.
