Street sweeper hurt in accident
Staff report
SOUTHINGTON
A street sweeper working on U.S. Route 422 suffered a minor injury about 6 a.m. Sunday when his vehicle entered the median and overturned near state Route 305.
Lt. Brian Holt, commander of the Southington post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, said the driver “looked away” and drifted off the roadway. Patrol troopers investigated the accident.
Holt said he didn’t know whether the street sweeper was a government employee or private contractor.
