The third period had two bright spots for the Phantoms.

Green Bay native Ryan Belonger shot the puck between goaltender Ryan McKay’s legs to slice Green Bay’s lead to 5-2.

Halfway through the period, Phantoms forward Pat Conte fought Gamblers defenseman Max Hartner, knocking him to the ice. Both were penalized for fighting and given game misconducts. Conte also was assessed a two-minute penalty for instigating the fight.
