Local Lions Club member honored

Ted Cubbison, third from left, a member of the Youngstown Lions Club, recently received one of the highest awards in Lionism for his outstanding work and dedication to the club. The prestigious past district governor’s award is given to very few people, and five past district governors attended the local group’s weekly meeting at Park Vista Retirement Center in Youngstown to present the award. They are, from left, Harold Ullman, Ron Clifton, Bob Whitehead, Don Martin and Ted Filmer. Cubbison is a resident at the retirement center.
