Winter storm watch for Valley issued; 6 to 12 inches of snow possible

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Mahoning and Trumbull counties in Ohio and Mercer and Lawrence counties in Pennsylvania from late tonight through Tuesday evening.

Accumulations of 6 to 12 inches of snow by Tuesday night are possible in some areas.

The snow is likely to be wet and heavy, the NWS reports.

Rain and snow will move into the area tonight and will change to all snow after midnight. The snow will continue on and off into Tuesday.

Temperatures are expected to remain constant in the low to mid-30s.

Wind gusts up to 35 mph are forecast for Monday evening.
